In this scholarship application cycle, 16 fulltime MSc scholarships were announced. The consortium has received a total of 265 scholarship application for both fulltime MSc. 260 applicants choose their respective universitiies of choice but 5 did not fill the universities of their choice. The distribution of applicants per each university is as shown below:

University of Dar es Salaam received a total of 92 applicants

The University of Port Harcourt received a total of 47 applicants

The University of the Free State received a total of 37 applicants

 Mekelle University received a total of 35 applicants

The University of Ghana received a total of 33 applicants

The Open University of Zimbabwe received a total of 16 applicants

After the deadline of the applications on 25th May 2025, The selection committee for each university set and selected the best candidates for the scholarship applicants. On 3rd and 4th June 2025, the steering committee met in cape Town, South Africa for approval and endorsement for the selected applicants. 

16 applicants have been selected for this round scholarship application. The applicants who have successful awarded the scholarship will be notified by email and receive letter of notification of award together with the scholarship agreement form. The applicants who are in reserve list will be notified by email, incase those who have been selected for any reason were unable to fullfill and report to their selected universities.

If you will not receive the scholarship notification letter, we are sorry to tell you that you are not among the applicants who have been selected in this scholarship cycle. The letter of notifications will be sent not later than 30th June 2025.

New scholarships for MSc short-term together with the traineeships will be announced early 2026.
